FormscanBy Tom Weekes - THATSY was a beaten favourite here on hurdles debut 18 days ago but can gain compensation today. He looked a useful prospect in winning his bumper at Navan last February and while ie was mildly disappointing he didn't win here recently, that was his seasonal reappearance run and with progression likely today, he might also benefit from dropping back in trip. Latest Exhibition was also a promising type in bumpers last season and while the placed horses he beat when winning at Naas were subsequently beaten, the fourth, seventh, eighth and ninth horses have all won since giving weight to the form. He is sure to be well schooled being a chasing type and should go well despite his own lack of a recent outing. Thunder Down Under was a bumper winner at Fairyhouse in January and while well beaten in a Listed Hurdle at Naas in March, there was no disgrace in that defeat and the experience should stand to him today and could give stablemate THATSY a race today. Davy's Dilemma was quite useful on the flat and while he has form on easy ground, is without a run since August 2018. Connections will surely be hoping to get him back on track with an encouraging reappearance run today but he cannot be dismissed from a top yard. Newlands is a useful recruit to hurdling but was absent for 363 days before joining current connections and seemed to under-perform a little on his two most recent flat starts.
