Mount Shenshan recorded a second Clonmel hurdles' victory last week, but she's a 13-race maiden in this discipline and doesn't appeal as one likely to relish the final ascent at Ballybrit. A 20-length winner at Ballinrobe, Swing Time was pulled up lame at Sligo last week. We felt he was in really, really great shape today and he was fit as a flea. Patrick gave him a really confident ride and it was a good performance. My son Conor had been very impressed with Patrick all along, he has always been a fan and has been plugging for me to give him rides. He rides really well and is great value for his 5lb claim. We'll try and follow up in something similar in a few weeks time and he can mix and match between hurdles and fences.

We persisted and now it has paid off,. I stuck a tongue-tie on her and said it would maybe help her concentrate a bit more, maybe that worked — I’m not sure. She had been coming into good form compared to what she had been in. We’ll keep the tongue-tie on anyway until it stops working. She’s rated 85 over fences as well. She’s in, over fences, at Galway on Tuesday and we might run there. We’ll keep tipping away until she trains off and then I’ll say goodbye to her.
