The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident at the turn past the stands involving Bonnie Moon (FR), ridden by S. Foley, placed second, and Island Hopping, ridden by D.P. McDonogh, placed third, where it appeared Bonnie Moon (FR) checked. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. S. Foley stated that as the pace steadied in front of him he checked for half a stride and the other horse moved back out. D.P. McDonogh stated that as he moved forward the filly behind him got a bit keen and latched on. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards did not apportion blame to any rider and took no further action.
