The Raceday Stewards interviewed G.M. Ryan, rider of Fitzroy Gardens, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned who argued that the first strike was for corrective purposes. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that the rider was in breach of R10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his clean record, they suspended him for two racedays
D.P. McDonogh, rider of Ciunas, trained by J. S. Bolger, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount raced keen and was awkward at the first bend
G.M. Ryan, rider of Fitzroy Gardens, trained by Donnacha Aidan O'Brien, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount rolled around in the straight
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer examined Mystic Bella, trained by Henry de Bromhead, at the request of the Raceday Stewards and reported the animal to be showing signs of being in season post race.
