Amanha's win echoes much further than Tramore 'Out the gate' quick is important over the extended mile and seven at Tramore, and Amanha was alert from beginning to end in the July 8th Family Day Mares Beginners Chase to win for in-form trainer Dermot McLoughlin On the other hand favourite Gaoth Chuil was always on the back foot. She was already detached when diving at an early fence, and ultimately did well enough from the position she was in to be beaten eight and a half lengths and six lengths into third, in arrears of the Paddy O'Hanlon-ridden victor. Up front on chase debut the triumphant Authorized mare got the better of Willie Mullins' Femme Magnifique by a comfortable eight and a half lengths. "Paddy said she dived at the first a bit but after that then she got into a nice rhythm and they went a nice gallop and her jumping improved the further she went. She's a good mare and she's a big mare, so jumping is probably her game," said McLoughlin. "I suppose the favourite didn't turn up, but I'm happy with her now and she'll improve I'd say. I don't know what we are going to do with her, she's been in a long time but it's very hard to pull the plug on her when she's running like that. I'll chat with her owners, who are from Armagh, and see where we go from there." Meanwhile Mickey Hughes of the victorious Wild Geese Syndicate, added: "The horse is called Amanha and it means respect in the Palestinian dialect. It's a show of solidarity."
