Ted Walsh’s charge didn’t appear to quite see out the trip on those latest two runs and this drop back to 2m4f should prove ideal. Kristian Goingwel is an obvious threat. The Beneficial gelding showed promise over hurdles last year but has really appreciated the switch to fences scoring twice over this trip at Down Royal and Punchestown. He remains on an attractive hurdle mark. Point-to-point winner Alice O’byrne went close in a handicap hurdle at the Limerick Christmas meeting but needs to bounce back after a disappointing effort at Down Royal. Any market move for Rocky’s Howya would be interesting on his handicap debut.
