Formscan By Tom Weekes - WHITEGATE has a notable Group 2 Gimcrack Stakes entry at York next week and represents a yard which does well with newcomers. By a leading sire, he was sold for E140,000 at a Breeze-Up sale last May so has proven ability, will now his job for today and is nicely drawn in the centre, from stall six. Tommy McJohn also has proven ability and while easily beaten by a smart type on debut, performed well subsequently at Down Royal, albeit that form isn't overly strong and he is vulnerable to smart types. Magnum Force ran well on his Naas debut but drops a furlong in distance and is now tried in a first-time tongue-tie, which is a concern.
