Formscan By Tom Weekes - JACK SPRIGGINS has been undoubtably frustrating to follow but ran well in two similar handicaps last month and is finding his level. He returned having been gelded when running well on handicap debut at Dundalk in July, from which the winner scored subsequently, and again ran nicely at Ballinrobe. Due to inflationary reasons, his rating has slipped 2lb. Elegant Madame finished second in that Dundalk race and again finished second subsequently. He is 5lb worse off today but there shouldn't be much between the pair. Bucaneer's Spirit ran well on handicap debut for new connections at Tipperary on Friday and might continue to progress, being another progressive three-year-old.
