Formscan - Kitzbuhel made a promising start over fences at Punchestown, shaping as though he would appreciate stepping back up in trip. However, it is worth remembering how free he was when tried over 3m at Aintree in the spring and the vote goes to WENDIGO. An unlucky fifth in the Albert Bartlett at Cheltenham, he built on his chasing debut when staying on strongly to win the John Francome at Newbury and the return to 3m promises to bring about plenty of improvement. Salver won in style at Sandown earlier in the month and is another who is unexposed over this distance.
