Formscan By Alan Magee - BOYNE RIVER showed promise when placed twice as a juvenile and was probably unsuited by soft ground when reappearing at Naas last May. It’s obviously a concern that she hasn’t run since but the well-bred Kingman filly may only need to run up to that form to gain an important winning bracket. Giuliana has had plenty of chances and the Jessica Harrington-trained filly is proving expensive to follow. Her best two runs have come in pattern company on soft ground resulting in an inflated career high rating of 98 but that mark has plummeted since. She did beat all bar Prince Of Peace when encountering this surface for the first time in a mile maiden last month and is obviously a threat. Pocket Veto also filled the runner-up spot behind Business over course and distance last month and the form has been boosted since by both the winner and the aforementioned Prince Of Peace, who was close-up in fourth.
