Formscan By Michael Graham - Vaucelet is a real force in the hunters' chase ranks. He won a good hunters' chase at Fairyhouse in April and was just beaten in the champion hunters' chase at Punchestown later that month when a mistake at the last cost him. He enjoys decent ground and is only just swerved in light of the rain in Northern Ireland. It was just over two years ago that THE STORYTELLER landed the Grade 1 Champion Steeplechase over course and distance. The 11-year-old gelding has been enjoying himself in point-to-points where he has run up a hat-trick. He's a big player here. Singing Banjo just failed by a short head to win a banks' race at Punchestown in November. That could have sweetened him up for this assignment. Dorking Cock won this race last year and isn't out of it despite lacking a recent run. Brain Power and Coastal Tiep make this a deep race.
