Formscan  - SOFIA THE FIRST has improved with each run to date and got up on the line to shed her maiden tag over 7f at Lingfield on her most recent outing. The daughter of New Bay shaped as if this step up in trip would suit and she can make a winning nursery debut. Laplander put his underwhelming performances in novice/maiden company well behind him when hitting the crossbar on his first start in a nursery at Sandown last month and he could go well. Gap Year is the pick of the rest.
