Formscan By Gary Carson - Last year's winner HURRICANE DARWIN comes here fresher than a few of his rivals and may be able to repeat the dose. The Westerner gelding has run well on a couple of occasions over fences this year and it's no surprise that he has been aimed at this race again. The mare Three By Two was a good winner here on Tuesday and commands plenty of respect turning out again. She beat Vital Island at the start of the week and that rival went on to win the La Touche here on Thursday. Vital Island could turn out again along with the La Touche runner-up Stealthy Tom. They looked to have fairly hard races over a marathon trip the other day though.

The Stewards have also suspended Rule 135 (iv) (c) and (v) for the purposes of this race. The Kildare Hunt Perpetual Cup, kindly given by the Ashmore Family will be presented to the winning owner in this race.
