Formscan By Gary Carson - Gordon Elliott has won five of the last seven runnings of this race so it looks significant that French import OLD VICTORIA has been targeted at this. The Doctor Dino filly won over hurdles in her native land in mid-September having been runner-up on her first outing. She still looked a touch green when scoring at Cholet and looks open to plenty more improvement. Cougar is the other previous winner in the field and is the obvious danger. He did well to pick up Charlie Luciano on his hurdling debut at Gowran last month after that rival had kicked a few lengths clear turning for home. The Deep Impact colt is entitled to step forward from that outing and is a big player. James Nash's runner Snapius is one to note on his hurdling debut as he had a decent mark of 84 on the level.
