Formscan By Gary Carson - A competitive and wide open looking affair. QUEEN ALPHABET may prove the pick back off her Irish mark. She ran well to finish fifth a hot handicap at Aintree last month and was only three-and-a-half lengths behind the runner-up Fethard Player then. She now meets him on 6lb better terms and that rival ran a decent enough race since in a similar contest at Punchestown. Thomas Edison looked to get tired on his return to action at Fairyhouse last month and can be expected to post an improved effort now. He still faces a tough task giving plenty of weight to his rivals though. Rock The World was a leading fancy for the Boylesports Hurdle back in January but made little impression. He has missed a couple of engagements recently but if he can recapture his best winter form he'd have to be a big player. Solita was a good winner at Wexford last time but a 6lb rise for that leaves her on a high enough looking mark while Misty Lady and Lilshane come here in form but have stiff tasks from out of the handicap.
