Formscan By Donal Murphy - Grade 1 hurdle winner ALDERWOOD will hardly get an easier opportunity to get off the mark over fences and it will be very disappointing if he can't win this. The Tom Mullins trained gelding had an excellent campaign last season over hurdles but he slipped up close home when beaten on his debut over fences and he finish a close up third on his next start behind Canaly and Terminal at Fairyhouse last month. Having his third start over fences he will prove very hard to beat. Spring Heeled and Prima Vista are his main challengers. The former was a decent performer over hurdles and he ran well enough on his chasing debut at Thurles recently behind Tillahow. The latter was just touched off in a Grade 1 novice hurdle but he hasn't transferred that form to fences even though he performed with credit last time out at Leopardstown.
