The Philip Rothwell-trained gelding spoiled his chance with a bad mistake at the penultimate flight when runner-up to Zefiro Dodville, with Nas Na Riogh back in fourth adding some substance to the form. Paggane won on the Flat in France but hasn’t jumped fluently in three hurdle starts while Whale Harbour, Cut The Robe and Syracus Du Houx have also shown some promise. Majestic Force easily won a point-to-point at Lingstown in December and is another to consider.
