FormscanBy Michael Graham - PERFECT TAPATINO didn't have a clear route in Cork last month and could pick up compensation here. He had to be switched over a furlong out and stayed on well to be nearest at the finish in fourth, beaten less than a length. The runner-up in that race, the very in-form Annie Fior, has since gone in at Cork to strengthen the form. Bucky Larson has been off since October. This is the first time he has had a break since starting racing in April last year, so it will be interesting to see how he fares. He has two solid placed efforts from the autumn to advertise his chance. Geological is a big player. He unseated Stephen Mooney in the closing stages at Cork Friday week ago due to a slipped saddle. He had only just been headed, though, so it was some performance. Colin Keane then guided him home in Leopardstown on Friday. Mooney now claims 7lb off him which will more than offset the penalty, so he is likely to be very popular. It will be his third race in nine days, though.
