Formscan By Gary Carson - This doesn't look the strongest maiden hurdle for the venue and UPAZO showed enough on his debut at Thurles to make him the one to beat here. He proved no match for fellow French-import Umpact then. It was disappointing that that rival was turned over at a short price since but he still looks a decent sort and the form looks good enough in the context of this race. Limerick Lane has a couple of decent placed efforts to his name and although no world beater he is capable of making a bold show again here. Jennies Jewel was disappointing at Limerick when dropping out tamely. Some of her placed form previously would give her a shout but she needs to leave that run behind. Drumgooland ran away with a moderate enough bumper at Downpatrick last time and Barry Geraghty looks a positive booking here while Maccas Lad looked good when taking his bumper at Punchestown last season but needs to improve on what he has shown over timber so far. Born In Fire represents strong connections and can be expected to improve from his debut effort at Leopardstown.
