Formscan By Donal Murphy - A competitive maiden to round off proceedings, with the O'Brien family strongly represented. Aidan and Joseph O'Brien both saddle three, while Donnacha is responsible for newcomer Shinsengumi. A half-brother to dual Group 1 winning sprinter Kingsgate Native, it's somewhat surprising to see this son of Galileo make his debut over a mile-and-a-half. A case can be made for all three of the Ballydoyle runners, with King Of The Castle perhaps the most interesting of them, fitted with cheek pieces for the first time. Egyptian Rock, Hathlool and MITIGATED RISK all showed promise on debut, with preference for the Dermot Weld trained latter. A half-brother to dual Group 1 winner Fascinating Rock, the chestnut colt was slow into stride on debut, but came home well to finish a never nearer fourth, with subsequent winner New Reality in sixth. The selection should come on plenty for that run and a bold bid looks likely from him now. The aforementioned Egyptian Rock also ran on well on debut after coming in for plenty of market support and he is given second preference.
