Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - DAYS HOTEL gets a narrow vote over Roi Du Mee. The selection does go up in trip, but he started off his days in point-to-points and his half-brother, Travino won a Grade 1 novice hurdle over two and a half miles. Three from three over fences, Days Hotel could well be suited very nicely by this distance, around somewhere like Thurles, and the assessor rates him 3Ibs superior to Roi Du Mee. That one is much respected though, as he is in the form of his life right now and he won't be easily upstaged. The official figures might suggest something different but Foildubh is next in in my book with the likes of Quito De La Roque, Tranquil Sea and Joncol looking lights of other days. In fairness, the latter is tried in a first-time tongue-strap now and his second placing at Navan 40 days ago, to Rule The World, reads more than okay now. It'd be a big surprise if Rathlin or Oscar Time proved up to the challenge.
