Formscan By Tom Weekes - MINELLA ROCCO is almost an obvious pick here, as he receives 10lbs from most of his rivals and comes here proven as a strong stayer. His last run was when finishing second in the Cheltenham Gold Cup and while he is winless (and therefore without penalties) since landing the four-miler at Cheltenham in March 2016, has plenty in his favour today and can return to winning ways. Road To Respect has yet to prove himself fully at this trip but was thoroughly progressive last season and looks the type who may get this distance, having seen out middle distances well when winning at Cheltenham and Fairyhouse last season. He too makes his seasonal debut but should get involved at the business end. Sub Lieutenant is another high class chaser and while his form over this trip had been a little hit-and-miss in the past, he performed well over middle distances last season and also has claims today. Outlander is a dual Grade 1 winner and while unable to cope with top class races on his latest two starts, should be capable of getting involved today is sufficiently forward on his reappearance run, with proven stamina an asset. Carlingford Lough has been a cracking servant but in recent seasons has taken a run to reach peak fitness and could be best watched today while Zabana is himself a previous Grade 1 winner but comes here following a long layoff and might struggle to win. Kilcarry Bridge is a capable sort at his own level but should struggle to win this.
