The daughter of Mahler showed mild promise on occasion last term but nonetheless was sent off 80/1 for her seasonal reappearance at Listowel where she kept on for third in a better maiden than this. The winner San Salvador was in front when a last-flight faller in a Grade 3 novice next time and the selection has good claims back in mares company with that run under her belt. Motown Maggie was narrowly denied by a 99-rated winner at Tramore which leaves her with work to do on paper against the 103-rated Steak And Onions but Gordon Elliott’s charge is going the right way. Kilbarry Chianti has been very consistent in bumpers and is one to consider on hurdling bow along with Mary Meehan who has shown some improvement in bumpers of late. Downtown Queen disappointed on her debut in a bumper but is related to some very smart jumpers and could be a different proposition over flights with a tongue-tie fitted.
