Formscan By Gary Carson - Dermot Weld runs two here and YULONG GOLD FAIRY looks the pick. She takes a drop in class now having run a fine race to finish fifth in the Irish 1,000 Guineas at the Curragh in May. She was held up then, trying a mile for the first time, and couldn't make much impression off a fast pace before staying on in the closing stages. Back over seven she looks sure to be ridden more prominently now from the plum draw in stall one. Her best form last year came with plenty of cut and she also ran very well in a Guineas trial first time up this term on testing conditions so any rain would be help for the filly who won her maiden around here last year. Ballydoyle run three in the race and it's interesting that Donnacha O'Brien sides with I Can Fly, who also drops in grade having run in two classics. She was beaten a long way in the Oaks on her last outing and it looks significant that the Fastnet Rock filly takes a significant drop in trip now. Panstarr is a consistent performer at this level and looks the pick of the elder horses. She shouldn't be far away.
