Formscan By Tom Weekes - JOYFUL PRINCESS was well enough held on debut but that form is working out well and she should improve from the experience. Out of a Coolmore-bred unplaced dam whose sister won at Listed level, she missed the break at the Curragh and raced keenly in the early stages and while she was beaten eight lengths, finished reasonably well while the capable runner-up, the fourth and eight-placed finishers each won subsequently. Mint Candy finished 1.75 lengths ahead of Amangani on their Gowran meeting a fortnight ago but the pair are likely to be closely matched, as Amangani was a little short of room on the inner for some of the home straight. Both are useful and look sure to run well.
