Formscan By Alan Magee - ACRIVEEN has progressed really well this term, and ran a cracker here last time when bidding for a hat-trick in the valuable handicap won by King Of Queens. He should still be competitive despite a 14lb rise for that recent run of success. Speed Dial is another in good form of late over this trip, and seems best when held up for a late challenge. Miriam's Dream would have been on the shortlist for this but failed to really sparkle on his handicap debut at Punchestown on New Years Eve, and could be considered an unlikely runner. Total Reality has shaped quite nicely in recent months on the Flat at Dundalk, and could be a danger to all.
An extended handicap hurdle race for four yrs old and upwards (123 = 11st 10lb)Weights - Top weight in the original handicap; shall not be less than 11st 10lbPenalties - Winner of a hurdle race after calculation of the handicap to carry 6lb extra for each hurdle race won. Any horse rated above 123 shall initially be treated as having that rating and the highest weight allotted shall be 11st 10lb. Subsequently, the excess over 123 in any rating shall be added to the weight allotted to that horse. (For the purpose of this note, any four or five year old rated above 123 shall have the applicable weight for age allowance then prevailing deducted from the horse's rating prior to the original calculation of the handicap)
