FormscanBy Michael Graham - It is good to see Minella Encore back in action. On his last appearance he finished fourth in a Grade 2 at Leopardstown in February 2018. Prior to that, he won a point-to-point and two bumpers and looked a horse with a bright future. This ground won't be an issue to him but you would think he would come on for the run, so quotes of evens don't overly appeal albeit he is the potential class act in the field. Perhaps OSCAR MONTEL can reward each-way support at double-figure odds. There was a lot to like about his runner-up finish to the favourite in Thurles earlier in the month. For a 40/1 shot he was only beaten on the run-in and gave best by a length and a quarter (over a similar trip to this). Mullins' second-string Drury has her chance. She won her bumper at Kilbegan in August before being placed in a couple of maiden hurdles in October and November, although deep ground may not see her at her best. Momus was placed in six maiden hurdles in a row before underperforming at Fairyhouse in April. He can land a cheque if fully wound up for this.
