There was a lot to like about her second start in a maiden hurdle at Navan and, if she can show improvement, she can get involved here. She was impeded on a couple of occasions but made up ground to finish fifth of 26 runners. The horse a place behind her in sixth, Fakir, delivered in a rated novice hurdle at Limerick on Sunday. The two horses that are likely to dominate the market are Willie Mullins’ Purple Mountain and Gordon Elliott’s Immortality. Purple Mountain is a newcomer by Arlington Million winner Beat Hollow out of a bumper-winning mare and it goes without saying that he has to be respected. Immortality has a point-to-point victory from Moig South last month to her name, and starts out on her racecourse career with Elliott. Jamie Codd rode her in that point-to-point and is reunited with her which has to be an advantage. She is a full sister to Laurina and is a fascinating runner.
