Formscan By Donal Murphy - After witnessing ROCK CRITIC easily dispose of a moderate field at Galway last August, the son of Pivotal is sided with to make it two from two over hurdles. The Dermot Weld trained gelding received a quote of 16/1 from Paddy Powers for the Supreme Novices Hurdle after his Galway success and Mark Weld said afterwards: "I'm thrilled with that, he couldn't have done it any better. This looks his real vocation". He since ran well in two Listed contests on the level and if he wins this a trip to Cheltenham next month will surely be on the cards. The Willie Mullins trained Make Your Mark will give the selection plenty to think about. The 6yo son of Beneficial won his first three career starts with ease but was found wanting on his next two starts in top class company. It will be interesting to see how he gets on here on his first start since Cheltenham last March. Seabass begins his preparations for the Grand National at Aintree and although he will hardly be given a hard time of it he should still give a good account of himself with Ruby in the saddle.
