Formscan By Donal Murphy - After running well on his last two outings QUARTETTO seems to be coming into form and he looks the one to side with here. Previously trained by Mervyn Torrens, the German bred gelding will be making his third start for Tom Taaffe. He was just beaten last time out by Competitive Edge in a handicap chase at Leopardstown and reverting back to the smaller obstacles he should take plenty of beating with Paul Townend in the saddle. Stop The Clock and Whatdreamsrmadeof are the obvious dangers. The former won her maiden hurdle last month at Thurles in good style while the latter is a recent course and distance winner. The Jim Culloty trained Smart Money is an interesting runner on his handicap debut. The son of Spadoun has some decent point-to-point form and it will be interesting to see if the money comes for him.
