Going - Soft (Soft to Heavy in Places). Fine

Formscan By Eamonn Murphy - Boondooma, a winning 'pointer' and a half-brother to Tell Massini and Rocky Creek, gives Jack Griffin, a nephew of the trainer, Michael, his first taste of racecourse experience here. This Westerner gelding is decent and it wouldn't be a surprise if he went well, though he could have found as easier heat to start off in under Rules. Alan Berry comes over to ride Defy Logic (first time blinkers) and Paul Nolan said of him in the Irish Field last Saturday: "He was second on his debut at Navan behind a good horse of Henry de Bromhead's. We think the world of our lad, but he just didn't settle on the day. He has everything you need to be a good horse and he loves the game. He jumps hurdles and fences super and he is just so impressive in everything that he does. Hopefully, we'll get his bumper out of the way. He'll be out shortly and we think he is a very good horse." Silver Tassie moves up a little in trip now and that could well help his cause but on the score of a bit of value perhaps LOTS OF MEMORIES could be the way to go. He made a very encouraging debut on similarly testing ground at Galway over a fortnight back and any progression on that should put him in the firing line at the business end now.
