Formscan By Gary Carson - Arvika Ligeonniere was very impressive when destroying his field in the Drinmore Chase and is a serious talent. If he builds up a lead here he could prove very hard to peg back and trainer Willie Mullins is confident he should have the pace to handle this drop back in trip. He might not get it all his own way here though as OSCARS WELL is a top-class performer and Robbie Power is sure to try and keep him in his sights. He wasn't far off the best over timber, winning two Grade Ones, and looks like he could be equally as good over fences. After an impressive chase debut he had a hiccup when crashing out early at Punchestown but connections felt that was out of character and there certainly were no issues about his jumping at Navan last time when he was pin sharp. He mixed it with the best over two miles when hurdling and may just have the edge on the Willie Mullins horse, who not doubt has plenty of ability but can be a bit free. Baily Green was prolific during the summer but this is a different league. Benefficient was a shock Grade One winner over hurdles last season and is a useful sort but may just have to settle for a place in this company while Dylan Ross was well behind Oscars Well at Navan last time and is unlikely to reverse the placings.
