Approximately 1 furlong after the start Our Jester (GB), placed third, edged right-handed at the same time as Berkshire Breeze (IRE), placed second, shifted marginally left-handed away from Rechercher (GB), placed fourth, which resulted in Vintage Valley (IRE), unplaced, being checked to avoid the heels of Berkshire Breeze (IRE).
However, after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and it had not improved the placings of either Our Jester (GB) or Berkshire Breeze (IRE).
Approximately 2 furlongs after the start Crystal Caves (FR), unplaced, clipped the heels of Our Jester (GB), placed third, which had shifted slightly right-handed into its path but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found no riding offence was involved.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Highland Lass (FR), unplaced, lost its left-hind shoe.
