Permission was given for Shuil Ceoil (IRE) to wear a red hood to post and for Block Rockin Beats (IRE) to wear a hood in the parade ring only.
Neil Mulholland was cautioned as Shuil Ceoil (IRE) had arrived in the Parade Ring without its declared cheekpieces, which were then located and fitted to the gelding before going to the start.
An enquiry was held to consider possible interference on the bottom bend involving Lundi Noir (FR), placed third, ridden by Stan Sheppard, The Magus (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Conor Ring and Shuil Ceoil (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Conor O’Farrell.
The interference was found to be accidental in that Lundi Noir (FR) lugged briefly left handed on the bend before being corrected, causing The Magus (IRE) to be taken off its racing line, resulting in Shuil Ceoil (IRE) being short for room and its rider to take a check.
The winner Got A Dream (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Haydock on 18 January 2025 where the gelding finished sixth of seven runners, beaten by 37 ¾ lengths.
Nicky Martin’s representative’s explanation that the gelding had benefitted from a long break of 265 days, was noted.
Got A Dream (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Sean Houlihan reported that Kingston Gent (IRE), unplaced, hung right-handed off the bend.
