Permission was given for both Exclamation (IRE) and Palmeira (GB) to wear a red hood to the start and for Revival Power (IRE) to go early to post.
Passing the 1½ furlong marker, Dickensian (GB), placed third, stepped right-handed brushing and unbalancing Mission Central (IRE), placed sixth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Dickensian (GB).
An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final furlong involving Lady Iman (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Colin Keane, and Argentine Tango (GB), unplaced, ridden by Jason Hart.
Keane was suspended for 2 days for careless riding as he angled his mount left-handed when insufficiently clear causing Hart to have to take a check on Argentine Tango (GB).
Passing the ½ furlong marker, Dickensian (GB), placed third, which was hanging right-handed, shifted further right-handed carrying Mission Central (IRE), placed sixth, off its intended line which in turn resulted in a weakening Lady Iman (IRE), unplaced, and Argentine Tango (GB), unplaced, both having to be steadied, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Dickensian (GB).
Following the race, Jason Hart reported that Argentine Tango (GB), unplaced, suffered interference approaching the final furlong and the representative of G M Lyons reported that Lady Iman (IRE), which started second-favourite and finished unplaced, was found to have bled during a post-race endoscopic examination.
