Permission was given for Fumbleinthejungle (GB) to go early to post, for Newyorkstateofmind (GB) to go early to post and to be mounted on the chute and for Woohoo (IRE) to wear a red hood to post.
Chester Le Streak (GB), drawn 5, anticipated the start and accelerated the gate at the same moment as the race had been started thereby enabling the gelding to break quickly.
Being satisfied that it was not caused through a faulty action of the starting stalls, no further action was taken.
Approaching the final furlong, Newyorkstateofmind (GB), placed fifth, edged right-handed at the same time as the winner, Woohoo (IRE), edged left-handed causing Newyorkstateofmind (GB) to become crowded for room resulting in its rider taking a check, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Woohoo (IRE).
Following the race, William Pyle reported that Newyorkstateofmind (GB), placed fifth, suffered interference approaching the final furlong and Rhys Elliott reported that Royal Duke (GB), unplaced, was never travelling.
