In fairness we have Thomas Reilly at home in the yard, he's ridden a few winners for me, and I put him on him about a month ago. He's after getting him to travel a lot better than he has before at home. I have to put that win down to him as he's been a different horse in the last couple of weeks. You still want to see it on the track and it's brilliant that he's translated that. Whether we go chasing this season or potter around in novice hurdles for the year, I don't know. The Stewards interviewed N.T. Prendergast, rider of Highland Sting, concerning his use of the whip in the closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned, who accepted that he was in breach of Regulation 10 and apologised for his actions. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Stewards were satisfied that N.T. Prendergast was in breach of Regulation 10.3(g)(frequency) and having considered his record they suspended him for 2 racedays
A. McCurtin, rider of Blazing Yeats trained by R.P.Rath, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount hung badly left and ran out
The Irish Horseracing Regulatory Board Veterinary Officer reported to the Stewards that Sarsfield trained by John Patrick Ryan was found to be post race normal when examined.
