It was a good performance, we’re delighted with that. She stepped forward from her maiden, she won her maiden over two-and-a-half in Limerick. I thought there was plenty of depth to the race this evening. They went a proper gallop all the way, she settled in well, and jumped super. I love the way she quickened off the bend, down to the last. She’s a nice filly. She’s not that big but she jumps really well, and she handles that bit of ease in the ground as well. I’m delighted for Nicola (Coppez — sister of owner Peter Fitzgerald) and everyone involved. We’ll see what options there are for her, but she’s entitled to take the next step forward. The Raceday Stewards interviewed D.J Gilligan, rider of Rosie's Wings, concerning his use of the whip in closing stages of this race. Evidence was heard from the rider concerned. D.J. Gilligan stated that he felt he had not made contact with what appeared to be the first strike. Having viewed a recording of the race and considered the evidence the Raceday Stewards found D.J. Gilligan was in breach of R.10.3(i)(time to respond) and having considered his record in this regard (third offence) they suspended him for eight racedays.
