Mr D. O'Sullivan, rider of Noble Name, trained by Ms Claire O'Connell, reported to the Clerk of the Scales that his mount got tight for a stride on the point of the bend pass the stands

Mr A.J. Lord, rider of Coded Welder, trained by Paul Mulligan, reported to the Stewards' Secretaries that his mount ducked out

The Raceday Stewards enquired into an incident on the bend passing the stands involving Coolboy Christy, ridden by Miss P. Elvin, placed second, and Noble Name, ridden by Mr D. O'Sullivan, slipped up, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. Mr D. O'Sullivan stated that it got very tight on the point of the bend and was unsure if any contact was made. Miss P. Elvin stated that she maintained her racing line all the way around the bend and never felt contact. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards were satisfied that no further action was warranted

An I.N.H. flat race for four years old and upwards that have not won a race under any N.H. Rules or Rules of Racing and which have been placed first, second, third or fourth in a Point-to-Point steeplechase in Ireland or run in two or more Point-to-Point steeplechases in Ireland between 5th October, 2024 and 18th May, 2025
Weights - 4-y-o 11st 8lbs 5-y-o and up 12st Mares allowed 7lbs
Riders - Qualified Riders under I.N.H.S. Rules. All horses running in this race must hold a current Hunters Certificate. A Hunter Certificate valid in accordance with Rule 78 for the 2024/2025 season for each horse engaged must be registered at the Offices of the I.N.H.S. Committee, The Curragh, Co. Kildare not later than 16th May or the horse will not be qualified to start. The IHRB have suspended the relevant part of Rule 78 to enable horses which run in this race (excluding the winner) to retain their Hunters Certificate for the remainder of the 2024/2025 season. HRI Directive 10 has been suspended for the purpose of this race and the following procedures for elimination and balloting of horses will apply (i) The number of declared runners shall be reduced by first balloting those horses that have not won a Point-To-Point steeplechase since 5th October, 2024. (ii) The number of horses declared will be then reduced by balloting those horses that have not won more than one Point-To-Point steeplechase since 5th October, 2024. (iii) In the event of Paragraphs (i) and (ii) not achieving the recommended limit a random ballot will then be applied to the remaining horses.
