An enquiry was held to consider interference on the run to the line when Doctor Blue (FR), placed second, ridden by Dylan Johnston interfered with the winner Fortune De Mer (IRE), ridden by Harry Skelton and The Last Cloud (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Brian Hughes.
Johnston was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he allowed his mount to drift left-handed taking Fortune De Mer (IRE) off its intended line which in turn caused The Last Cloud (IRE) to be taken off its intended line and Hughes to take a check.
Following the race, Sean Bowen reported that Sir Galahad (IRE), unplaced, was unsuited by coming down the hill.
