The Clerk of the Scales reported that Shane Fenelon, the rider of Derracrin (GB), placed fourth, trained by Barry Murtagh, had weighed in at 9st 13lb having weighed out at 9st 11lb.
The rider, the trainer’s representative and the Clerk of the Scales were interviewed.
Fenelon was suspended for 3 days for weighing in at 2lb overweight.
Following the race, the Veterinary Officer reported that Stylish Recruit (IRE), which was pulled up, lost its left-hind shoe and that Restandbethankful (GB), which was also pulled up, was found to be stiff post-race.
