Chara proves a friend to Roscommon punters
She did it very well. She has good form and she’s probably still well handicapped, I think,. She’s versatile, she can go seven or six. She shows plenty speed. It’s my first winner for Kathleen, Ronan’s mam. We know Tom and Kathleen a long time, they are from Monasterevin as well, so I’m delighted to get a winner for them. We’ll see what happens now. If she’s claimed whoever claims her will knock good fun out of her, she’s a good sound horse. If she’s not she’ll win a few races for us.
Mulvany's Raider too strong for Roscommon rivals
We were confident enough coming today, we were just afraid of the ground. He wants nice ground,. His form is rock solid and he’s improving all the time. The dream was, with Sean, that we’d go to Royal Ascot. Whether we go or not now is another thing. We’ll make a decision and he’d probably go to the Coventry if he was going there, I think that’s the only race that suits him. Wesley said he sat off them a little and I thought Billy had actually slipped them but he got back up and showed a good turn of foot. He’s a good honest horse. He’ll keep improving, he’s a big strong horse.
Thrifty Of Digby shines on return to Roscommon
She loves Roscommon, she just loves it around here, and she was back in that grade,. She’s very game and genuine, gets out in front and just gallops away. We’ll try and find something else for her now, she’s got four wins now and been placed four times. She’s as genuine as anything.
Huff'n'puff another Flat winner for Henry De Bromhead
Sir Jeremy strikes on second start for Meade
He saw the trip out and liked the ground, I’d say the ground was a help,. He didn’t run particularly well for me on his first run, we were a bit disappointed with him. He’s just started to show a bit recently again. We’ll try something similar with him. I’d say he just likes to get his toe in, he probably wouldn’t like it too heavy. We might jump him over a hurdle and see how we go.

Keane doubles up on McNamara's Superficial
He’s maybe had a couple of unlucky days,. He was a bit unlucky in Listowel one day and then he ran into one in Bellewstown. We were 11 lengths in front of the favourite (Obscenity) then but still got chinned by one. He’s had some lovely runs and he deserved to get a win under his belt. At Ballinrobe the last day it just didn’t work out, he had a bad draw and they went slow. He’s a nice straightforward horse and you’d be hoping there is more to come from him. He’s big and doesn’t have the most amazing action so I’d say a bit of juice helped and this is probably his ideal ground. We went hurdling with him, which didn’t really work out, but we’ll probably give it a go again at some stage. He schooled well but didn’t jump well in his runs. We’ll probably stick to the Flat for the moment and hopefully there is another day in him.
Miss Australie swoops late to land Roscommon nightcap
The ground was probably a big help,. I’m delighted for the lads, they are west of Ireland people. Noel Walsh and the lads, and Dave Keena has a leg in her as well. She was very frustrating when we got her first but she ran well the last day in Ballinrobe, and it wouldn’t have suited her. Today on a good galloping track, and they went a right gallop, suited better.
