Having been examined by the Doctor and the Veterinary Surgeon, both Nzuri (GB) and George Bass were deemed fit to race.
Approximately two and a half furlongs out, Stolen (GB), unplaced, stepped left-handed at the same time as Arvana Belle (IRE), unplaced, edged right-handed, causing them to come together.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved.
One and a half furlongs out, Marra Donna (IRE), placed fifth, shifted left-handed before being corrected, taking Corniche Girl (IRE), placed fourth, marginally off its intended line, which resulted in Chelio (GB), unplaced, and Rosieisme Darling (GB), placed third, being taken off their intended lines.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Marra Donna (IRE).
Following the race, Charles Bishop reported that Stolen (GB), unplaced, hung left-handed; Joe Leavy reported that Zoulette (IRE), unplaced, was slowly away and Tom Marquand reported that Chelio (GB), unplaced, was denied a clear run on several occasions inside the final furlong.
