An enquiry was held to consider interference approaching the final half furlong involving the winner, Maharajas Express (GB), ridden by David Probert; Miggy Magic (IRE), placed fourth, ridden by Billy Loughnane and Nelson Gay (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Lewis Edmunds.
Probert was suspended for 3 days for careless riding as he angled his mount right-handed, bumping Miggy Magic (IRE) and moving that runner into the path of Nelson Gay (IRE), causing Edmunds take a check for several strides.
Following the race, Lewis Edmunds reported that Nelson Gay (IRE), unplaced, was denied a clear run approximately half a furlong out.
