An enquiry was held to consider interference approximately 2 ½ furlongs out involving Porfin (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Grace McEntee and Next Second (GB), unplaced, ridden by Joanna Mason.
McEntee was cautioned for careless as she allowed her mount to drift left-handed when insufficiently clear of Next Second (GB), resulting in Mason taking a slight check.
An enquiry was held to consider interference rounding the bend into the home straight involving the winner, Just Ten High (GB), ridden by Rhys Clutterbuck; KING’S CROWN (IRE), unplaced, ridden by Billy Loughnane; Shalaa Asker (GB), unplaced, ridden by Cieren Fallon and Next Second (GB), unplaced, ridden by Joanna Mason.
Clutterbuck was suspended for 5 days for careless riding as he switched his mount right-handed when not fully clear of Next Second (GB) causing Mason to be checked in her run.
Clutterbuck further sufficiently hampered KING’S CROWN (IRE), which in turn resulted in Shalaa Asker (GB) being inconvenienced.
Approaching 4 furlongs out Thismydream (IRE), placed third, hung left-handed despite its rider’s best effort leaving Porfin (IRE), unplaced, short of room to its inside, which caused Porfin (IRE) to make contact with Next Second (GB), unplaced, on a number of occasions.
After viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and that it had not improved the placing of Thismydream (IRE).
Approximately 1 furlong out Porfin (IRE), unplaced, lugged right-handed away from the whip causing the rider of KING’S CROWN (IRE), unplaced, to take a precautionary check.
