Permission was given for Balmacara (GB) to go early to post wearing a red hood; for Classic (GB) and Urban Lion (GB) to wear a red hood to post.
An enquiry was held to consider interference inside the final furlong involving the winner, Urban Lion (GB), ridden by Edward Greatrex, Classic (GB) , placed second, ridden by Ryan Moore and Urban Sprawl (GB), placed fourth, ridden by Billy Loughnane.
The interference was found to be accidental as, at the same time as Moore angled slightly left-handed off the heels of a weakening Balmacara (GB) , Urban Lion (GB), who was hanging right-handed shifted slightly right-handed despite the riders best efforts, causing Loughnane to be shortened for room and switch left-handed.
Following the race, Robert Havlin reported that Samuel Colt (IRE), placed fifth, stumbled shortly after leaving the stalls.
