The Veterinary Officer reported that Nusret (GB) was a gelding and not a colt as published in the racecard.
At the first hurdle, Willaston (IRE), placed fifth, jumped right-handed, inconveniencing Nusret (GB), which was later pulled up, which in turn hampered Thunder Rock (IRE), placed fourth, but after viewing a recording of the incident, it was found that no riding offence was involved and had not improved the placing of Willaston (IRE).
The winner, The Four Sixes (IRE), appeared to show improved form compared with its previous run at Newbury on 8 February 2025 where the gelding was pulled up.
Olly Murphy’s representative’s explanation that The Four Sixes (IRE) settled better and appreciated an uncontested lead, was noted.
The Four Sixes (IRE) was routine tested.
Following the race, Freddie Gordon reported that Nusret (GB), which was pulled up, hung right-handed.
