Beano Power sheds maiden tag in Navan’s opener
it was good to get and she did it well. She (Woods) gave her a really good ride I thought: she doesn't get many opportunities but is good value for her 7lb claim. The real story with this filly is that on her last run on the turf she fell on the road, she went down and picked herself up and ran on and finished fifth (at Down Royal). She got a very bad cut and got damage in the tissue of the tendon. John the vet in Anglesey Lodge did a great job, we saved her and that's why she is on the team, having just a 50-odd rated. She has been running well and she handles this ground.
'Powerful' Charles Darwin enters notebooks at Navan
he is a lovely, big, powerful and strong horse and we always thought was an Ascot horse. He was very green in the Curragh and the race was a bit messy and he did everything right today. He travelled, has loads of speed and quickened very well. He's not short of speed so it will be the Coventry or Norfolk for him at Royal Ascot.
Coolmore pair raring to go, following Committed '1-2'
we thought both horses were just about ready to start and wanted to hopefully get two runs into him before Ascot. The plan was to come here, go to Naas and then go for the Commonwealth Cup (Royal Ascot). Ryan was very happy with his horse, said he didn't get any cover and got a little bit tired but he was very happy with him. He said he didn't want to get into a barging match when he was needing the run and didn't want to blow him up at that stage, so he did the right thing and took his time.

I thought he might just need a run. He worked very nicely during the week, but was so green on his first run that I said to Ben to just drop him in and teach him as much as he could. I really liked the way, when he got the gap, he came through it well and quickened up well. I think he is above average and it was a competitive race with a lot of fancied horses in it. Ben was very impressed. He was green at Naas last year and Shane Kelly (previous rider) was raving about him when he came in. He has strengthened up well over the winter. I'm not sure where we go next, but we will see what is there for him: I'm hoping he can shape up into a Stakes horse.

it was just unlucky for a really good lad (Daniel King) who rode him on Wednesday but just didn't get the rub of the green. Things didn't work out for the horse or the jockey but, fortunately enough, he showed all the right signs since then and was as good this morning, as Wednesday morning. Lucky enough all went right today.
