The Raceday Stewards enquired into possible interference inside the final furlong involving Gstaad (GB), ridden by C. Soumillon, placed second, and Zavateri, ridden by C. Bishop, placed first, where it appeared interference may have occurred. Evidence was heard from the riders concerned. C. Soumillon said he received intimidation from 100yrds out which in his opinion cost him the winning of the race. C. Bishop said Gstaad drifted right and his horse just followed the eventual second. Having viewed the recording of the race and considered the evidence, the Raceday Stewards made no alteration to the Judge’s placings and took no further action.
