Nasim (GB) was kicked by another runner at the start.
Having been checked by the Veterinary Surgeon, the gelding was deemed fit to race.
An enquiry was held to consider the unruly behaviour of Come On John (IRE) which had refused to go to the start and planted in the chute.
The representative of James Owen was interviewed and shown recordings of the incident.
As the gelding had also planted in the chute for a number of minutes before going to the start at Lingfield on 9 January 2025, Owen was informed that any future similar behaviour from Come On John (IRE) may result in the horse being reported to the Head Office of the British Horseracing Authority.
Following the race, Jordan Williams reported that Baikal (GB), placed second, hung left-handed under pressure.
